Overthrow. According to CNN forensic analysis showed gunshots of up to three weapons during the assassination attempt on Donald Trump at his campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday. The FBI announced Sunday that the 20-year-old assailant acted alone.

The first three shots were consistent with suspected weapon A, the next five were consistent with suspected weapon B, and the final “audio pulse” was issued by a possible weapon C, according to audio analysis by Katalin Grigoras, director of the National Forensic Media Center at the University of Colorado in Denver and Cole Whitecotton, associate at the same institution.

Audio analysis also confirmed the gunman was about 360 to 393 feet from Trump’s podium, according to special medical examiner Robert Mahera. That conclusion is consistent with CNN’s analysis that the gunman was on a rooftop 393 to 492 feet from the catwalk when shots were fired.

It is not specified whether the analysis concludes that the perpetrator had 3 weapons in his possessionthat there might have been accomplices or that the shots ultimately came from Secret Service snipers.
