Obama in private conversations has expressed his full support for the Harris candidacy and is in regular contact with her, NBC said, citing people with knowledge of the discussions.
“Associates of Obama and Harris have also discussed arranging for the two to appear together at campaign events, although no date has been set,” the US news network reported.
It is recalled that on Thursday morning Harris said she was ready to participate in a debate with the former president Donald Trump.
“And I will tell you that I am ready to talk to Donald Trump. I agreed that the debate should take place on the date fixed on the 10th of September, which he himself had previously agreed to. Now it looks like it’s backtracking. But I’m ready,” Harris told reporters after landing at Joint Base Andrews.
