by

The giant American oil company ExxonMobil has announced that it will gradually withdraw from the large crude oil field in Russia, the exploitation of which it has undertaken in a joint venture with Russian, Indian and Japanese companies, the Sakhalin-1 project.

“In response to the recent events, we will begin the process of shutting down our activities and take steps to progressively withdraw from this project,” the company said, stressing at the same time that it would not make further investments in projects in Russia from now on.

At the same time, the giant American aerospace industry Boeing announced that it is suspending its operational support to Russian airlines (spare parts supply, maintenance services, technical support) and most of the functions of its representative office in Moscow.

Boeing said that “as long as the conflict continues” in Ukraine, it emphasizes the safety of its “workers” in the region. The aircraft manufacturer has already announced that it has temporarily closed its office in Kyiv.
