Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko appears to have revealed … in front of the cameras that Vladimir Putin’s forces have plans to invade in Moldova. Putin’s warlike friend turned to security officials (most likely on Tuesday) as he stood in front of a battle map that appears to show a planned operation from southern Ukraine to its tiny neighbor.
The map shows proposed battle plans for Russian troops throughout Ukraine. It contains detailed lines of Russian attack on Ukraine, some of which took place in the early days of the invasion – such as the forces that invaded Kyiv from the north and Kherson from the Crimea.
But it also shows several attacks that have not yet taken place – with one even having the port of Odessa as a base targeting Moldova, suggesting that Russia plans to send troops to Ukraine’s neighbor.
It is noted that there is already an unknown number of Russian forces in Transnistria. The unrecognized democracy preached its independence from Moldova in 1990, when he declared his independence with the help of Russian, Cossack and Ukrainian volunteers.
At today’s security council meeting, Lukashenko showed what looks like an actual invasion map. It shows Ukraine military facilities destroyed by missiles from Belarus, attacks directions (everything agrees except Odessa-Transnistria). Also, Ukraine is divided into 4 sectors. pic.twitter.com/ueqBIFUbyM
