According to Dmitry Medvedev the country’s traitors should rot and die in prison, but he said it was more useful for Moscow to get its people back
The former president of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, commenting on the exchange of prisoners with the West, he said that his country’s traitors should rot and die in prison, but it was more useful for Moscow to get its people back to Russia.
“And now let the traitors feverishly choose new names and camouflage themselves through witness protection programs,” wrote Medvedev, the current vice-chairman of the Security Council of Russia, in a post on Telegram.
It is recalled that this afternoon a major prisoner exchange took place at Ankara Airport involving the release of several foreign nationals held in Russia and several Russian political prisoners among those freed were Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gerskovich, former US Marine Paul Whelan, the American-Russian journalist Alsu Kurmaseva and Russian opposition figures such as Ilya Yashin and Vladimir Kara-Murza.
In exchange, eight Russians held in the West were returned to Russia. Among them were Russian assassin Vadim Krasikov, who is being held in a German prison, as well as Russian “illegal” spies arrested in Norway and Slovenia
