The subject of fierce confrontation between the two candidates for the presidency of the USA is the holding of a debate, in the final stretch for the elections of November 5
Her campaign staff Kamala Harristhe Democratic presidential nominee, today accused her Republican opponent, Donald Trump, of breaking his word as suggested a new date for their telefight.
The former president said in a post Friday night that he had agreed with Fox News to debate Harris on Sept. 4. Originally, before Joe Biden withdrew his candidacy, the telefight was scheduled for September 10 on ABC News but Trump recently suggested moving it to Fox.
Michael Tyler, Harris’ director of communications, said that “Mr Donald Trump he’s scared and trying to back out of the debate he’s already agreed to and running to Fox News to lash out at him.”
“He needs to stop these games and appear on the debate he’s already committed to on September 10th on ABC. The vice president will be there anyway, so she has the opportunity to speak to a national audience in prime time,” he added, implying that Harris will go alone. “We would be happy to discuss other telefights after the one the two campaigns have already agreed to,” Tyler said.
The Fox News did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Trump’s suggestion of a Fox telefight came after Democrats launched an ad campaign on Friday arguing that “the convicted felon is afraid of dialogue” and wondering if that was because of his stance on abortion.
