Israel: Bombed the hospital complex in Gaza
The airstrike hit the area of a tent in the Al-Aqsa hospital complex, causing a fire, injuring at least 18 people and killing five others, according to the health authorities’ statement.
The Israeli armed forces announced that they had hit a gunman who was “involved in terrorist activities”, and there were secondary explosions, suggesting that there were other weapons in the area.
The same statement said that 50 military targets along the Gaza Strip were hit in the last 24 hours, including terrorist networks.
The Israeli strike on the hospital today comes a day after the bombing of a school compound in Gaza killed at least 17 people and injured more than 60. This is a blow to an area where IDPs who were forced to leave their homes due to Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip had found refuge.
“Seventeen martyrs and many wounded are the toll of the Israeli bombardment at the school in Hamama,” says the announcement of the civil protection service in Gaza.
