The United States has said it believes an Iranian attack could occur within the next 48 hours
Countdown to Generalization of Middle East Conflict? Iran has decided to attack Israel, the foreign minister said on Monday Israel Katz amid intense behind-the-scenes ferment to avoid further military action that could spark an outright war between Tehran and Tel Aviv. At the same time, Iranian media are showing video of Hezbollah’s new rocket attack on northern Israel.
Iran’s message was delivered to Israel by Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijártó, who called Katz to explain that he had received this information from Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri.
“Iran has informed us that it intends to attack Israel,” Katz said.
“People should ask a price from Iran for every offensive action he carries out,” he added.
In a conversation Bagheri had with his Bahraini counterpart, Abdulatif bin Rashid Alzayani, he spoke of his country’s determination to respond to the assassination of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniya in Tehran last week.
Israel has not claimed responsibility for the attack, but is widely believed to have carried it out.
“Silence in the face of the Zionist regime’s widening evil deeds will be harmful for regional stability,” Bagheri wrote on X, ex-Twitter, adding that “indifference to his recent moves is tantamount to incentivizing the regime.”
At the same time, the Iranians continue the threats on social media: “We will show our great anger without counting the limits!” is characteristically mentioned in a post of the Revolutionary Guards.
The United States has said it believes an Iranian attack could occur within the next 48 hours. There is fear that Iran could coordinate its attack with its “satellites”, including Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houthis in Yemen and other organizations in Syria and Iraq.
Israel claimed responsibility for the attack last week that killed the Hezbollah commander Fuad Soukr in Beirut.
Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah announced in a speech on Tuesday that the Shiite group now aims to strike new Israeli positions, “deeper in the country.”
Speaking of Israel who killed him Fuad SoukrNasrallah threatened that Hezbollah’s latest military operations “they have nothing to do with his retaliation which we promised, which have not yet come.” Hezbollah’s response to Israeli attacks will be strong and effective, Nasrallah continued.
Elaborating on Shukr’s death, the Hezbollah chief admitted that his organization suffered a great lossdeclaring however that “this does not weaken us or shake us”.
At least 19 people, including six soldiers, were wounded in northern Israel on Tuesday in drone strikes by Hezbollah. Local authorities called on residents of northern Israel to avoid non-essential activities and stay in safe areas.
