Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appealed to the citizens to remain “calm”, assuring them that Israel is ready to defend itself against any attack.

In particular, Netanyahu who visited the army recruitment base Tel Hashomer, said that “we continue towards victory. I know the Israeli citizens are on alert, and I ask you one thing — stay calm and cool. We are prepared for both defense and attack, we strike at our enemies and we are also determined to defend ourselves.”

It is noted that Al Arabiya reported in its publication, quoting sources from the US intelligence services, that the Iranian attack on Israel may take place on Thursday or Friday.

In another development, the Washington Post reports that White House officials believe that intensive diplomatic efforts to mitigate Iran’s retaliation may be working, and thus it is estimated that Tehran may proceed with a limited-scale attack.
