The second round of peace talks between Russia and Ukraine will take place in Belarus at noon today, according to Belarus state news agency Belta, citing Russian chief negotiator Vladimir Medinsky.
Delegations met on Monday on the Belarusian border in a bid to end the Moscow invasion, but to no avail and the attacks continued.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov“Russia will sit down with Ukraine to negotiate, but only on the condition that they be equal negotiating parties,” he told a news conference.
He added that the two countries are going to continue the talks, since last week’s negotiations did not end anywhere.
He reiterated that the Ukrainian government was a neo-Nazi regime and said that gangs were looting cities and towns, including Mariupol, adding that Ukrainians were “now trying to use civilians as human shields”. He stressed that Moscow will continue its military operation in Ukraine until the “end”.
However, he noted that there was no doubt that a solution to the crisis in Ukraine would be found.
