The Israeli military confirmed late Monday night that it struck a Hezbollah weapons depot in the Bekaa Valley in eastern Lebanon. Explosions followed, indicating the “presence of large quantities of weapons at the affected facilities,” the Israeli military statement said.

The state-run Agricultural Research Institute announced it would close its research stations in the Bekaa Valley for security reasons after unexploded projectiles fell a short distance from the facilities.
On Saturday, the Israeli military said it struck a Hezbollah weapons depot in the southern Lebanese city of Nabataiah. According to the Lebanese News Agency (NNA), the attack claimed the lives of 10 people, including two children.
Since the start of the war between Israel and Hamas on October 7, there have been almost daily hostilities between the Israeli army and Lebanon’s Hezbollah, which supports the Palestinian Islamist movement.
During this time, at least 585 people have been killed in Lebanon, mainly Hezbollah fighters but also at least 128 civilians, according to a tally by the French News Agency (AFP).
In Israel and in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, 23 soldiers and 26 civilians have lost their lives, according to the Israeli authorities.
