A man dropped dead by bullets in its main railway station Frankfurt last Tuesday night, in Germany, causing disturbance and alarm to the police authorities.
THE murder was committed at approximately 21:00 (local time; 22:00 Greek time) in front of railway tracks, while perpetrator – whose motive remains unclear – attempted to escape.
However, a short time later he was arrested by police a few meters from the scene of the crime.
Police have not released details of either the victim or the assailant.
However, as a representative of the Frankfurt police announced, a case has been filed against the alleged murderer and he will be brought before a judge later this morning.
The train station, one of the busiest in all of Germany, was closed for about 25 minutes after the killing because of the police operation.
Forensics, ballistics experts and the prosecution of life-threatening crimes were at the scene.
This morning, train services are running as normal while only the section of the station where the murder took place remains blocked
