The first presidential visit from Egypt to Turkey, after 12 years, ended in a positive atmosphere.

We see that this cooperation has grown even more with increasing Turkish investments in our country“, he emphasized, summarizing that the visit of President Erdogan last February, to Egypt, gave a special boost to the relations between the two countries.

We have decided to take joint steps in many areas such as trade, tourism and agriculture. Undoubtedly, increasing trade between the two countries, developing a free trade agreement and achieving mutual trade volume are among our common goals“, he emphasized.

We must work more intensively, especially with our brothers in Palestine and Gaza“, he said, underlining that the two countries emphasize the necessity for a ceasefire, an end to the occupation of the West Bank and the right of Palestine to establish a state within the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The Egyptian president also confirmed that issues of security and stability were discussed.

Regarding Libya, he said that Turkey and Egypt are advocating that both the presidential and parliamentary elections, ensuring security there and the withdrawal of the armed forces from the country are important.
