Melania Trump released a new video on Tuesday questioning the role of authorities in the assassination attempt on her husband Donald Trump.

He said the full story was not being told and hinted at a conspiracy, saying there was “more to the story” and “we have to uncover the truth”.

“Trying to end my husband’s life was a horrible, painful experience,” she said in the 34-second video posted on her social media accounts.

“Now the silence around her is ‘heavy’. I can’t help but wonder why Law Enforcement didn’t arrest the perpetrator before the speech. There is definitely more to this story. And we have to reveal the truth,” he added.

The video ends with a still from her upcoming memoir Melania.

In the video, the former first lady, 54, is dressed in black against a black background while ominous music plays.

He released the video on the day of Donald Trump’s debate with Democratic rival Kamala Harris and as House Republicans created a task force to investigate the July 13 assassination attempt on the former president.

It is unclear what the assassination attempt has to do with Melania Trump’s book, which is released on October 1. She announced her memoir about two (2) weeks after the assassination attempt and it is not clear if she will mention it in the book.

There have been many questions about the assassination attempt and how shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks was able to climb onto the roof of a building within Trump’s line of sight.

There are also questions about the role the Secret Service played vis-à-vis local law enforcement and whether they were in proper communication that day.

The gunman shot Trump from about 150 meters away, on top of a roof that was near the outdoor rally but outside the event venue, meaning he did not go through the normal vetting process that attendees go through.

It’s unclear why the Secret Service didn’t secure that area and why it took so long for officers to respond to the shooting. The bullet narrowly missed Trump, causing his ear to bleed.

Afterwards, Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle said her agency had failed in its mission to protect the former president.

“The official mission of the Secret Service is to protect our nation’s leaders. On July 13, we failed,” he said.

He later resigned as head of the Secret Service.

Donald Trump said the incident “had an impact” on him.

Melania Trump was not at the rally in Butler, Pa., where the assassination attempt took place. She then released a statement expressing her love for her husband.

Her book, simply titled Melania, will be released on October 1. It is available for pre-order on Amazon for $30.

It sells two editions: a $150 collector’s edition with 256 color pages, with each copy signed; The memoir edition will be 304 pages and will be available for $40 with signed copies available for $75.

The former US first lady has been the subject of many biographies and books but this is the first time she has told her story.

It’s unclear if he’s teamed up with a co-author and if he’ll be doing a book tour.

After the Trumps left the White House in January 2021, Melania Trump kept a low profile.

She has not been heavily involved in her husband’s 2024 campaign for the White House.

She appeared in his campaign announcement and at the Republican National Convention, where, unlike other candidates’ wives, she chose not to address the delegates.

He has yet to appear at a campaign rally.

She also did not attend the first presidential debate and made sure to distance herself from her husband’s legal troubles.

It is unclear whether he will attend the debate tonight.
