US President Joe Biden will host United Arab Emirates leader Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the White House on Monday for talks on the war in Gaza, Sudan and the responsible development of artificial intelligence, among others.

This is the first visit to Washington by a president of the United Arab Emirates, John Kirby pointed out. The White House National Security Council spokesman added that US Vice President Kamala Harris will meet separately with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Climate change, green energy and the UAE’s role in the G7 global infrastructure partnership are also on the agenda for the talks, Kerby told reporters.

The news of the HAE president’s visit to Washington was also broadcast earlier today by the state-run Emirates News Agency (WAM).
