Two weeks after his appointment, the new prime minister Michel Barnier he is preparing to present to the French the composition of his government. According to the Prime Minister’s environment, the government should be presented “before Sunday” and after the checks on the “whereabouts” of the new members by the “High Authority for the Transparency of Public Life” (HATVP), as usual it is done before the appointment of future ministers.

Times are proving difficult for government formation in France and for the new prime minister, with a president in fact who always tries to impose his opinion everywhere.

Last night, Mr Emmanuel Macron he finally accepted the list of government members presented to him by Michel Barnier. It was generally accepted, the official announcement with the Macron “stamp” is expected before Sunday.

Tuesday and… lucky

It is the third list in a row, after the rejection of the previous two and the threat of the resignation of the prime minister. According to the presidential instructions, the goal for the government was above all the “continuity of the state” but also to ensure some balances, in proportion to the election results.

Thus, according to the latest information from the prime ministerial environment, the Barnier government is predicted to have 38 members, with 16 regular ministers, of which 7 Macronists, 3 Republicans of the Right, 3 Centrists and one from the party of former Prime Minister Edouard Philippe. The Left as a whole rejected every proposal to participate, except for one person (from outside the party), whose name has not yet been announced.

In the end, everything points to a government with a hard core that is purely “Macronist and right-wing”, which makes the Left cry out indignantly about “betrayal of the French vote”, “Macronist hold up” and “government of election losers”.

Mobilizations across the country by the Disobedients

It should be noted that tomorrow Saturday, the 21st of the month, the Disobedients of the Popular Front of the Left are planning 50 demonstrations across the country (and in Paris), following their initiative last Tuesday to submit a proposal to “remove” President Macron.

The impeachment process in question was deemed “acceptable” by the Parliamentary Office, (where the Left is in the majority) and referred it to the Legal Committee. It is considered that he has no chance of passing, instead difficult days with mass mobilizations in the streets are expected for Prime Minister Michel Barnier.
