The Israeli military issued an emergency warning late Monday for residents in Beirut’s southern suburbs to evacuate due to impending airstrikes on Hezbollah targets.

In particular, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) are urgently calling for the immediate evacuation of Lebanese civilians living near several buildings in the southern suburb of Beirut, a stronghold of the Lebanese Shiite militant group, Hezbollah, Dahiyeh.

Col. Avichay Adraee, the IDF’s Arabic-language spokesman, released maps along with the announcement, clearly indicating the locations of the buildings to be hit. In his message he calls on residents to maintain a safe distance of at least 500 meters from these locations.
