In a torrential speech to parliament, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan attacked Israel, stressing that after Lebanon, Turkey will be the target.
As his correspondent broadcasts from Istanbul Manolis Kostidis, addressing the parliamentarians, the Turkish president said: “I can tell you clearly, the place he will target after Lebanon will be our homeland”, adding that “Netanyahu includes Anatolia in his dreams”.
Continuing, Tayyip Erdogan said: “I call those who say that Turkey should be neutral and those who say that Hamas is a terrorist organization. What we are dealing with is not a state, but one herd of killers that feed on blood.”
“We are facing an occupying network that intends to set fire to the entire region. No one with an iota of conscience can remain silent in the face of such a network of slaughter. Those who are silent, how will you look into the faces of your children tomorrow? Israel’s aggression also includes Turkey. We will continue to stand against this aggression with all the means we have, for our country and independence.
Whatever the cost, Turkey will stand against Israel and call the world to this honorable stand. Turkey will do everything it can to create a humanitarian front.”
The Turkish president added:
“Israel’s terror and genocide in Palestine has now spread to Lebanon. Yesterday the occupation forces announced that they entered Lebanon by land. While Israel is committing genocide in Gaza, it is simultaneously trying all kinds of provocations to draw the countries of the region into its fire.
Whatever Israel does, sooner or later they will be blocked. Like Hitler, who saw himself in a giant mirror but was stopped, Netanyahu will be stopped in the same way.
As we closely monitor Israel’s attacks on Palestine and Lebanon, we clearly see how it is trying to use the separatist terrorist organization to establish structures and satellites in northern Syria and northern Iraq.
Let me share this geography information with you. The distance from the Yagliadag region, which is our border with Syria, to Lebanon, is 170 kilometers. Turkey by car is only 2.5 hours from Lebanon. The distance between Antioch and Gaza is the same as the distance between Ankara and Aidinio. In other words, the occupation, terrorism, aggression are right next to us.
