Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghtsi announced that he will visit several cities in the region to discuss ending the war in Gaza and the invasion of Lebanon.

The talks will focus on reaching an “acceptable ceasefire,” he said, according to Iran’s state news agency IRNA. One of these stations includes the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.

The governments of Iran and Saudi Arabia had severed bilateral relations for decades, but earlier this year they agreed to restore them.

Amid intense diplomatic maneuvering, a senior Iranian official said Tehran has told Gulf states it would be “unacceptable” if they allow their airspace to be used to attack Iran, and any such move will trigger a response.

“Iran has made it clear that any action by a Gulf country against Tehran, whether through the use of airspace or military bases, will be seen by Tehran as action that will be responded to accordingly by Tehran,” said the senior Iranian official to Reuters.
