Harris leads by 2 percentage points in Arizona, Georgia and Michigan – Trump leads by 6 points in Nevada and 1 point in Pennsylvania – Same in North Carolina and Wisconsin
Twenty-five days before the November 5 presidential election, yet another poll shows that the two candidates – the US vice president and the Democratic nominee Kamala Harris and Republican ex-pres Donald Trump– are tied in overall percentages in the seven “swing states”, the so-called swing states that can largely determine the outcome of the election, according to a poll released today by the Wall Street Journal.
According to the poll, Harris has a narrow lead of 2 percentage points in Arizona, Georgia and Michigan, Trump leads by 6 points in Nevada and 1 point in Pennsylvania, and the two are tied in North Carolina and Wisconsin.
OR poll it was done with the participation of 600 registered voters in each State. It was conducted between September 28 and October 8 and has a margin of error of +/- 4 percentage points in each State.
The WSJ poll results “concur” with other polls showing an lopsided presidential battle in the Nov. 5 election.
The issues Americans are concerned about, and based on which they are asked to choose between the two candidates, are the economy, immigration, women’s rights and the nation’s democratic values.
A poll of Reuters/Ipsos this week also found that Trump and Harris will battle it out nationally as well, with Harris narrowly leading 46 percent to 43 percent.
Surveys of voters in these seven states, which are neither Democratic nor Republican strongholds and actually decide the outcome of the election, are an important indicator of the electoral trend.
“This is a tie,” the Republican pollster told the WSJ David Leewho conducted the investigation along with Democrat Michael Botcian.
More voters said they chose Trump on the economy and immigration issues, while more said Harris would do a better job on housing, health care and caring for people like them, according to the poll.
