They had been trying to trace him for almost a year. From the fear that day of her terrorist invasion Hamas in Israel, on October 7, Tel Aviv knew that the main instigator of the massacre was the then deputy leader of the organization, Yahi Shinuar. For months, they were looking for him in every corner, basement, tunnel, all over the Gaza Strip. Finally today, October 17, one year and 10 days after the massacre of hundreds of Israeli civilians, the Yahya Sinuarthe man who inspired and engineered the Hamas operation, is dead.

But how did the IDF locate and “neutralize” the current leader of Hamas? The answer is much more… simple than one might assume, given the proven capabilities of the Mossad and the Israeli army:

Quite simply, Yahya Sinuar was NEVER located by the Israelis. The head of Hamas has been diligently hiding for months, not even using his mobile phone in order to hide his tracks and leaking various fake news to disorient the Israeli secret services. History wrote that Sinuar’s death was an…accidental event!

As Israel’s military radio station reported, the Hamas leader was killed by projectiles fired by an Israeli tank at a house in Gauzenear the Rafah area, as part of a routine IDF operation. According to information, the crew of the Israeli tank spotted suspicious movements on the top floor of the building in the early hours of Thursday morning. The tank fired missiles at the house, which it literally leveled. In this rubble, Yahya Sinuar was found, during the drone inspection, literally buried. The drone, which scanned the area with special cameras, recognized Sinuar’s face among the rubble of the house and then the ground operation to retrieve him began.

As Israeli media reported, an “unusual movement” had been observed in the area, however the presence of the Hamas leader had not been confirmed. Therefore, Yahya Sinwar, one year after the October 7 invasion, was killed by an accidental Israeli tank hit on a house.

Everything we know about the “neutralization” of Sinuar

– In their statement the army and internal security services “confirm that after a year-long manhunt yesterday (Wednesday), October 16, 2024, Israeli army soldiers killed Yahya Shinwar, the leader of the terrorist organization Hamas, in an operation in the southern Strip Gaza”.

-Earlier, the military said it had “killed three terrorists” in operations in Gaza and conducted DNA tests to verify that Sinwar was one of them.

-The announcement did not specify when, where and how these men were killed.

– “There was no indication of the presence of hostages in the building where the terrorists were killed,” the army added, referring to the people who were kidnapped on October 7, 2023 and are still in Gaza.

-According to the Saudi Al Arabiya TV, the army’s operation took place in the area of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.

-The Israeli website Ynet reported that money and IDs were found on the bodies, which were first approached by drones.

-However, according to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, which is close to the left, the soldiers who participated in the operation had no information about the presence of Sinwar in this zone.

-Unverified photos posted online show Israeli soldiers surrounding a corpse with a large head wound in the rubble, covered in dust. The dead man wears a large watch and looks like Sinuar.

– To verify his identity, DNA analyzes were carried out, one of which was completed tonight, according to the police and the army. Photographs of his dentures were also sent to police laboratories.

-Israeli police announced that Sinuar was identified by his dentures and fingerprints.

-Defense Minister Yoav Gallad said the army “will continue and destroy every terrorist.” His post on Platform X was accompanied by photos of Hassan Nasrallah, the Hezbollah leader killed in late September in Beirut, and Mohammed Deif, the head of Hamas’s military wing, who Israel says was killed in July but the group did not has confirmed it.

– There is currently no official reaction from the US government, but an official told AFP that US President Joe Biden has been briefed on the developments aboard the presidential plane as it is en route to Berlin.
