A new video has been released by the Israeli army from the moment of the neutralization of the leader of Hamas, Yahya Shinwar.

Specifically, the IDF released footage of the moment the tank targets and opens fire on the house where the Hamas leader was hiding in the Tel al-Sultan area of ​​Rafah.

One of the tank’s shells killed Sinuar, who had earlier been spotted moving around the neighborhood with two bodyguards.

The IDF also released images of weapons found in the house where he was killed including three rifles and ammunition.

Earlier, video was released of the moment a drone spotted Yahya Sinuar inside the house, sitting in an armchair seconds before the tank opened fire.

In their statement about the Rafah operation in which they located and killed the Hamas leader, the IDF said: “This week (Wednesday), troops of the 828th Brigade operating in the Tel al-Sultan area of ​​Rafah identified several suspects in the area. The troops carried out sweeps, during which they encountered terrorists who fired at them and threw grenades. The soldiers returned fire hitting the terrorists, who had started fleeing and split into two adjacent buildings in the area.

Troops continued their activity and sweeps in the area to target the terrorists and shelled the buildings with tank fire, eliminating the terrorists.

During sweeps conducted by the troops the following morning, the body of Hamas leader Yahya Shinwar was identified.

This operation followed several months of operations in which the IDF in cooperation with the ISA and led by the 162nd Division, operated against the Rafah Brigade of Hamas and the Tel al-Sultan Battalion, eliminating hundreds of terrorists.
