At least 11 people were killed today by an Israeli strike against residence at Al Magazi refugee camp in central Gaza, the official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported today, adding that there are still people missing under the rubble.

Also, the health authorities of Gaza accused the Israeli army of encircling and bombed the Indonesian hospital in Beit Lahiain the northern part of the enclave, injuring more than 40 people.

In a statement, the Hamas government’s health ministry said the strikes targeted the upper floors of the hospital and that “more than 40 patients” were injured, as well as medical staff.

Yesterday 33 people were killed when the Israeli armed forces launched a new shelling on the refugee camp in Jabaliain the northern part of the small Palestinian enclave, where war has continued to rage for over a year.

The Israeli military launched a new offensive on October 6 against the town of Jabalia, which is next to the Indonesian hospital, saying it was targeting regrouping Hamas fighters.

Every day, 40 children die in Gaza

According to the UN, Gaza is now “hell on earth” for children. Nearly 40 minors have been dying every day for a year in the enclave, according to Unicef.

More than a year after the start of the war in the Gaza Strip, “children continue to suffer indescribably every day,” said James Elder, spokesman for the United Nations Children’s Fund, at a press conference in Geneva. “Gaza is the real embodiment of hell on earth for its one million children. The situation is worsening day by day as we witness the horrific effects of airstrikes and military operations,” he noted.

“If this level of horror doesn’t awaken our humanity and spur us to action, then what will?” he wondered.
