Russia’s massive nighttime raid against Ukraine, targeting populated area and critical infrastructure
Three people, including a child, were killed in a Russian drone strike in the northeastern Ukrainian city of Sumy, officials said today.
The attack, part of a massive night raid against Ukraine, targeted a residential area and critical infrastructure, regional governor Ihor Kalchenko said via Telegram, posting photos of damaged and destroyed houses.

Meanwhile, a woman was injured early today when a Russian drone struck the southern city of Kherson, according to local officials.

In a statement, the Ukrainian military said air defenses destroyed 42 of the 60 drones launched by Russia against various parts of Ukraine. Another 10 drones were also lost, according to the statement.
