The two candidates face off in these two crucial US states with the two candidates only one point apart
With a large number of voters already casting their ballots for a new US president and the pool of those open to changing their minds shrinking, new polls from CNN show Donald Trump and Kamala Harris continuing to go head-to-head in swing states like Arizona and Nevada.
Specifically, the Kamala Harris leads with 48% among likely voters in Arizonaaccording to the poll compared to 47% collected by Donald Trump. In Nevada, 48% of likely voters support Trump and 47% support Kamala Harris. Those 1-point margins are within each poll’s margin of sampling error, CNN notes.
The Nevada poll shows little change in trends since late August, but in Arizona new results show a slight trend in favor of Kamala Harris. The new poll finds Harris improving there with key Democratic constituencies supporting her candidacy among women, Latino voters and younger voters.
The shift is mostly focused on women, who now lead Kamala Harris by 16 points, while men continue to favor Trump by 14 points.
