British Defense Secretary: Russian losses in convoy outside Kyiv – Unexpected Ukrainian defense in the air

“The large Russian phalanx northwest of Kiev has only made little progress in more than a week and has suffered continuous losses at the hands of the Ukrainian armed forces,” the Pentagon said in a note briefing on the developments in Ukraine.

It is also noted that there has been a significant reduction in the overall Russian aviation activity over Ukraine in recent days, “probably due to the unexpected effectiveness and resilience of the Ukrainian air defense forces.”

Finally, the British Ministry of Defense points out that despite previous public assurances from Putin to the contrary, Russia has sent to Ukraine conscripts and not just professional soldiers.

“As the death toll rises, President Putin will have to draw (staff) from all Russian armed forces and other sources to make up for the losses,” the London daily concluded.

Last night, the British Ministry of Defense announced that experienced mercenaries from Russian private military companies have been deployed to fight in Ukraine to support the Russian invasion.

It was noted that the Russian state “almost certainly maintains extensive ties with Russian private military companies, despite repeated denials.”

The nightmare ended with the note that these companies have been accused of human rights violations in several countries, such as Syria, Libya and the Central African Republic, while operating on behalf of the Russian state.
