Bolsonaro arrives in Dubai for a 6-day trip through the Middle East

President Jair Bolsonaro (no party) arrived this Saturday (13) in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, for a six-day visit to the Middle East.

Bolsonaro, who did not speak to the press on arrival, is accompanied by a delegation that includes ministers Paulo Guedes (Economy), Walter Braga Netto (Defense), Bento Albuquerque (Mines and Energy), Carlos França (Foreign Affairs), Gilson Machado (Tourism) and Augusto Heleno (Institutional Security).

Two of his sons are also taking part in the trip, federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PSL-SP) and senator Flávio Bolsonaro (Republicanos-RJ), in addition to the secretary of Culture, Mário Frias. All wore masks.

The president was received at the hotel by UAE Minister for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, Omar bin Sultan Al Olama. He also greeted a small group of awaiting supporters.

In Dubai, the president should participate in an event in the defense area and an investment forum, in addition to attending the Brazilian pavilion at Expo 2020, which takes place in the city of the United Arab Emirates.

Later this Saturday, he is expected to have a meeting with the emir of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Bolsonaro should still visit Bahrain and Qatar, before returning to Brazil, next Thursday (18th).
