His Greek identity Giannis Antetokounmpo questioned the Donald Trump in a racist comment he made at a speech in Milwaukee, comparing himself to “The Greek Freak.”
Speaking at the Fisery Forum, home of the Milwaukee Bucks, where last year’s Republican National Convention was held, Trump made a series of controversial and, according to many, racist comments, particularly targeting NBA superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Donald Trump began his speech by expressing his enthusiasm for his recent campaign rally at New York’s Madison Square Garden, where several speakers, including comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, made statements that many on American television described as “racist.” .
It is recalled that Hitchcliffe in his speech had described Puerto Rico as a “garbage island”, causing a huge wave of negative reactions, including the famous singer Jennifer Lopez.
Former President Trump continued his remarks by mentioning Antetokounmpo, seemingly ignoring the player’s background. “Your team is very good. I would say the Greek is a really good player,” Trump noted before adding the controversial remarks.
“Do you agree? And tell me. Who is Greek, the Greek or me?” Donald Trump characteristically said and added: “I would say we are the same, right?”
As there was no reaction from the crowd, Trump continued by saying “maybe he’s the best player in the NBA.Maybe he’s the best player. They say he’s a really good kid too. But with your help we will defeat Kamala Harris and make America great again.”
Earlier, Trump had also boasted about his “beautiful white skin”. He claimed that his skin was not tanned because he had no time to sunbathe due to his campaign commitments before the election.
“I could be sitting on the beach with the waves hitting my face. That lovely white skin of mine would be nice and tanned. I have the whitest skin because I don’t find time to sunbathe. But I have this beautiful white skin. And you know what? It could be beautiful, tanned, beautiful,” Trump said.
These comments come after Trump previously questioned whether Kamala Harris was actually black in July, saying she “became black recently.”
