OR Europe will need to reconsider its support for Ukraine if the Donald Trump is elected for a second presidential term in the USA, the Hungarian Prime Minister said today Viktor Orban, as the (European) continent “will not be able to bear the burdens of a war alone”.

Orban opposes sending military aid to Ukraine and has made it clear that Trump embraces his own views, while he could negotiate a peaceful settlement of the war situation for Ukraine.

He is supporting former President Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, against current US Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, in Tuesday’s presidential election.

“We (in Europe) need to realize that if there is a president in America who will be in favor of peace, a development in which, I not only believe, but I also read the numbers in the same direction… If what we expect happens and America supports peace, then Europe cannot remain in favor of war,” Orban said.
