“Clean” are the weapons found in the apartment in Ampelokipi, where the deadly explosion took place last Thursday.

According to information, the analysis showed that they have not been used in other illegal activities.

The weapons along with handwritten notes and other items were found during the search by the authorities in three apartments and a vehicle. Specifically, the following were found and seized:

-2 pistols,
-lots of digital evidence,
-mobile phones,
-sim cards,
-wigs,
-masks,
-number of keys,
-handwritten notes and
– blueprints.

The anti-terrorist “dusts off” every bit of information it has in its hands and especially the handwritten notes in order to collect as much information as it can about the people involved in the explosion in Ampelokipi and also about who was the target of the explosive device.

Speaking on the morning show of SKAI and the “Mismatches”, the press representative of EL.AS, Konstantia Dimoglidou said that so far there is no information on who the target would be.

As he said, the authorities are thoroughly investigating the past of the people and in which mobilizations they had taken part in the past.

According to Mrs. Dimoglidou, the specific apartment cannot be characterized as a “jafka” because there was no laboratory where they could manufacture the explosive device.

“Perhaps it was in the final stages of its creation and something went wrong. Whether he was moving at the time to be positioned. These mechanisms don’t stay in the possession of these people for long,” argued Mrs. Demoglidou.

“The hit would have been immediate, the police officers estimate,” she asserted.

At the same time, he pointed out that “it may be a new group of terrorists”. However, as he said, this does not mean that there is no communication with older people who are either active in the anti-authoritarian space or with other terrorist groups.

The relationship with Germany

According to the information so far, the group had developed an international activity abroad. Both the 36-year-old who was killed in the blast and the other three people who were charged attended a protest rally in Berlin outside the Israeli embassy in February 2021.

In fact, the 36-year-old deceased, according to ERT, had been arrested in incidents in Germany and thus through the police cooperation of the two countries, the bomber was identified. In Greece, according to police sources, he had a clean criminal record, and lived in Piraeus.

Criminal prosecution for terrorism

Criminal prosecution for four felonies and two misdemeanors was brought by the head of the criminal prosecution, both against the 31-year-old arrested, but also against the 33-year-old who is being treated as a guard in Evangelismos and another woman who is in the Netherlands.

Arrest warrants have been issued against the two women involved in the case of the explosion in the Ampelokipi apartment.

The criminal prosecution brought concerns the crimes of:

-forming and joining a terrorist organization,
-terrorist acts of manufacturing and possession of explosives,
– terrorist acts supplies of explosives,
-explosion with possible deception that could cause danger to human lives.

The defendants, who, according to the transfer, were allegedly jointly planning their next moves, also face misdemeanors of damage to foreign property and illegal possession of weapons.

Next Tuesday, the 31-year-old defendant will plead guilty. According to information, he denies any involvement in the case. However, authorities appear to have video footage that shows the 31-year-old walking away from the street where the apartment was after the explosion. At the same time, there are also testimonies that they saw the man leaving there after the explosion holding his head.

The 33-year-old injured woman continues to be hospitalized in Evangelismos, while a court official will go to the hospital when she is able to apologize.
