by

The facilities hosting the logistics of the subsidiary of the Greek group ELTON were destroyed after a bombing in the Kiev region.

The facilities were located in the transit center 3PL Operator with an area of over 30,000 sq.m. in the Kyiev Oblast region and hosted products intended for the Ukrainian market.

“We do not have information about the exact time of the attack. “We note that the headquarters and offices of our subsidiary in Kyiv have not been affected and have already been evacuated since the beginning of the events, with a view to the absolute security of the people of our company and their families,” the company emphasizes.

“Our subsidiary in Ukraine, together with our people, local partners and customers, is one of the top achievements in the forty-year course of ELTON, and although this unthinkable blow causes us all deep sorrow and awe, we know that it is insignificant in the face of human losses “and the pain of our fellow human beings in Ukraine.”

“I pray that the nightmare of war will end, that the suffering of so many people will end and that an unprecedented humanitarian crisis will affect us all,” said Nestor Papathanassiou, founder of ELTON.

The group states that the latest development is not expected to significantly affect the strong financial position of the Group, which as a regular practice takes the necessary measures to ensure and protect both it and the uninterrupted support of its customers.

“We are constantly monitoring developments, analyzing and evaluating their impact on the broader activities of our Group, while we remain on the side of our partners and those who need our support,” notes ELTON.
