Despite his collapse coalition government in Germanythe polling percentages of the parties remained almost unchanged, according to a pre-publication survey broadcast by the German News Agency (dpa).

In particular, the INSA poll on behalf of the Sunday edition of the newspaper Bild, shows that the Social Democratic Party (SPD) of the chancellor Olaf Solz falls to 15%, losing one point compared to the previous week. The Greens are unchanged at 10%. The percentage also remains unchanged Free Democrats (FDP) at 4%, below the 5% threshold required to be represented in Bundestag.

The poll came just days after Chancellor Soltz fired Finance Minister Christian Lindner (FDP), as a result of which his party left the three-party coalition that governed Germany from 2021.

THE Olaf Solz has announced that it intends to ask the Bundestag for a vote of confidence on January 15, paving the way for elections in March.

The opposition is pushing for the election to be speeded up, rejecting the timetable presented by the chancellor.

OR conservative Christian Union (CDU/CSU) appears as the undisputed favorite to lead the next government, as it remains the strongest political force in this poll with 32%.

OR far right Alternative for Germany (AfD) gains one unit and reaches 19%, while the Alliance Zara Wagenknecht (BSW) loses one point and falls to 7%.

The party Die Linke (“The Left”) collects 4%, a percentage that leaves it without parliamentary representation.
