Two flares fell outside Netanyahu’s private residence in Caesarea, in a ‘serious incident’ according to security services
Two flares fell in front of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s private residence in Caesarea, Israeli security services announced today, calling it a “serious incident”.
“At approximately 7:30 p.m., two flares landed in the courtyard in front of the prime minister’s residence,” police and Shin Bet, the domestic intelligence agency, said in a joint statement.
“The prime minister and his family were not at home”, they added at the time of the incident, speaking of “a serious incident” and “a dangerous escalation”.
It is not known who is responsible for the incident.
On October 22nd, a drone was launched against this private residence of Netanyahu’s, without causing any injuries either. That attack caused material damage to the residence.
Netanyahu then accused “Hezbollah, an ally of Iran”, of “trying” to assassinate him and his wife, assuring that they would “pay a heavy price”.
Three days later, the Lebanese Islamist movement claimed responsibility for the attack.
