Ukraine may have used an ATACMS missile to hit a target inside Russia. An ammunition depot in the Bryansk region was attacked last night. The 67th arsenal in Karachev was hit by what locals claim was a missile and not a drone. Geolocated at 53.1449695086295, 34.95100736498948 pic.twitter.com/KbaMllaldQ

Meanwhile, according to the Ukrainian website Ukrainka Pravda, explosions were heard and a fire broke out at the arsenal of the Main Directorate of Missiles and Artillery of the Russian Ministry of Defense in the city of Karachev in the Bryansk region of Russia.

“In the Bryansk region, the 67th arsenal of the Main Directorate of Missiles and Artillery of the Russian Ministry of Defense was hit. It contained artillery munitions, including North Korean munitions for its systems, guided air bombs (GABs), anti-aircraft missiles and munitions for multiple launch missile systems.”Andrii Kovalenko, Head of the Disinformation Countering Center at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, said via Telegram yesterday.

The governor of Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, earlier claimed that it was a drone attack. According to him “the drones were destroyed and there were no casualties or damage.”

This is not the first time that this warehouse has been attacked. Before the latest attack, it had been attacked by Ukrainian drones in October. At the time, Kiev said that such attacks create logistical problems for the enemy and reduce its offensive capabilities.

“The strikes on the ammunition depots of the Russian occupiers will continue in order to stop the armed attack of the Russian Federation against Ukraine”added the General Staff of Ukraine.
