In all businesses in the Accommodation sectoro turnover in the third quarter of 2024 amounted to 6,177,866,375 euros, marking an increase of 6.9% compared to the third quarter of 2023, where it had risen to 5,779,046,583 euros, according to the data announced by ELSTAT.

At the same time, in all businesses in the Catering Services sectoro turnover in the third quarter of 2024 it amounted to 3,708,863,769 euros, marking an increase of 0.2% compared to the third quarter of 2023, where it had risen to 3,701,529,355 euros.

For businesses in the Accommodation sector, Regional Units with a contribution to the total turnover of the year 2023 greater than 1.0%, the largest increase in turnover in the third quarter of 2024 compared to the third quarter of 2023 was observed in the Regional Unit of Rhodes (21 .9%) and the smallest increase (3.3%) was recorded in the Region of Attica, while the largest decrease was recorded in the Regional Unit of Thira (9.9%).

For businesses in the Catering Services sector, Regional Units with a contribution to the total turnover of the year 2023 greater than 1.0%, the largest increase in turnover in the third quarter of 2024 compared to the third quarter of 2023 was observed in the Regional Unit of Rhodes ( 17.4%) and the smallest increase (1.2%) was recorded in the Regional Unit of Messinia, while the largest decrease was recorded in the Regional Unit of Mykonos (8.4%)

For businesses in the Accommodations sector, with an obligation to keep duplicate books, for which data are available on a monthly basis, the turnover in September 2024 amounted to 1,480,985,268 euros, marking an increase of 9.2% compared to September 2023, where it had risen to 1,356,560,795 euros.

For businesses in the Catering Services sector, with an obligation to keep duplicate books, for which data are available on a monthly basis, the turnover in September 2024 amounted to 288,838,567 euros, marking an increase of 8.3% compared to September 2023 , where it had risen to 266,787,992 euros.

Cumulatively for businesses in the sectors of Accommodation and Catering Services, with an obligation to keep double-entry books, for which data are available on a monthly basis, the turnover in September 2024 amounted to 1,769,823,835 euros, marking an increase of 9.0% in relation to with September 2023, where it had risen to 1,623,348,787 euros. For the Regional Units with a contribution to the total turnover of the year 2023 greater than 1.0%, the largest increase in turnover in September 2024 compared to September 2023 was observed in the Regional Unit of Corfu (18.1%) and the smallest increase ( 4.3%) was recorded in the Regional Unit of Thessaloniki.
