At least 40 heads of state and government from around the world are expected in Paris – Inside the temple all the events for the re-opening of the temple
The entire ceremony for the reopening of Notre Dame will finally be held “inside the cathedral” tomorrow Saturday, as forecasters predict adverse weather conditions in the area.
“The very adverse weather conditions announced by Météo France (wind gusts at a speed of 65-80 km) for Saturday, December 7, in Ile-de-France, oblige us to reorganize” the ceremony, the French presidency explained in their joint statement and the Diocese of Paris.
The program initially called for President Emmanuel Macron to deliver a speech in the forecourt of the cathedral tomorrow evening, although the Diocese preferred this to take place inside Notre Dame, which was restored after the devastating fire of April 15, 2019.
The unsettled weather will also affect the music program of the event. The France Télévisions group announced that the concert will be filmed tonight for broadcast tomorrow.
Emmanuel Macron will attend the church service on Sunday morning.
