“Putin and Aliyev continued to discuss various issues related to the crash of the Azerbaijani airliner” Russian media reports.
The news comes in the shadow of Aliyev’s criticism of Moscow, which he accused of trying to cover up its responsibility for the air tragedy in Kazakhstan.
“We have clearly communicated our demands to the Russian side, they were already delivered on December 27. What were those? First, the Russian side should apologize to Azerbaijan. Second, to admit her guilt. Third, to punish the guilty, hold them criminally responsible and pay compensation to both the state and the injured, passengers and crew members. These are our terms. The former was satisfied on Saturday. I hope the rest of our demands will also be met,” Aliyev interpreted.
