Wealthy Londoner promises compensation to recover more than €12 million worth of jewelery stolen from her home
A wealthy Londoner today promised a generous reward to anyone who could help police find jewelery worth around £10.5m (€12.7m) which was recently stolen from her home.
On the afternoon of December 7, a man broke into the art collector’s home in London’s Primrose Hill neighborhood through a second-floor window, according to a police press release.
In the absence of the occupants, the burglar made off with £10.5 million worth of jewellery, including a diamond and sapphire brooch and necklace signed by Van Cleef & Arpels, a Boucheron diamond necklace, as well as a Hermès Kelly bag worth 150,000 sterling (181,000 euros), but also the amount of 15,000 pounds (18,000 euros).
The suspect, who had his face covered and was described by police as a “white male in his 20s or 30s with a medium build,” has not been located.
The owner of the jewelry, named Saphira Huang, according to British media, an art collector, promises to compensate anyone who could help the authorities in their investigation.
It is offering £500,000 (€604,000) to anyone who can provide information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect and/or an amount equal to 10% of the value of the jewelery or τσάντας για κάθε πληροφορία που θα επιτρέψει την ανάκτησή τους.
A large part (of the jewelry) “are unique pieces, so they are easy to identify,” police said, appealing for witnesses.
“If you have seen this jewelery since then, if anyone has offered to sell it to you or if you have any other information, please contact the police,” the Met urged.
