President Joe Biden awarded America’s highest political honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, to 19 people on Saturday, including Hillary Clinton, designer Ralph Lauren, Lionel Messi, U2’s Bono and billionaire George Soros.

The medal is awarded to people “who have made exemplary contributions to the welfare, values, or security of the United States, world peace, or other important social, public, or private endeavors,” the White House statement said. Biden himself has received the medal from then-President Barack Obama in the final days of his administration.

Hillary Clinton received a standing ovation from the audience when it was her turn. She was the Democratic candidate for the White House who lost to Donald Trump in the 2016 election.

Anna Windor, actors Denzel Washington and Michael J. Fox also received the medal.
