“In 24 hours I will have ended the wars in Ukraine and Gaza…”. One of the main narratives of Donald Trump during the pre-election period in the USA, was about the two wars, in Ukraine and the Middle East. Two weeks before his official return to the White House, one of his main narratives is crumbling. In fact, not only do the two ongoing wars in Ukraine and the Middle East show no signs of easing, let alone ending, but the very Donald Trump seems willing to open new fronts, hurling “global threats” even to traditional allies such as Canada and Denmark.

Donald Trump’s speech today, the day after he was approved by the Congressthe president-elect of the USA appeared completely different, clearly more aggressive, he spoke of the use of military force in various parts of the world and neither a little nor much, he emphasized that Canada, one of the great powers of the world, should to be “the 51st US State”.

The main points of today’s speech of Donald Trump had one characteristic: The change of scenery in favor of the USA.

During his first term in the White House, Mr Republican president he had made it clear that he was concerned with the US and only the US. He based his economic policy on this particular narrative and substantiated it using China and the trading empire it has built and spread across the globe. The logic of manufacturing at home and creating jobs within the US has a basis. The method of application is what makes the difference.

Shortly before assuming his duties and in view of his second term in White HouseDonald Trump shows a different face, a “belligerent” mood, and even an obvious revisionist tendency. A revisionism that appears to be based on two axes in terms of its implementation: First, aggressive economic policy and its enforcement with the shield of superpower and second, if necessary, enforcement with the use of the military supermachine that the USA.

Which Trump will the world face? The Trump of economic warfare was to be expected. The Republican politician has never hidden his intentions to stop China’s “encroachment”. But, now, other parameters have entered the frame: First, o Panama and the gold-bearing canal and secondly, Greenland.

Trump has not hesitated to talk about using military force if his plans to “join” the Panama Canal and Greenland do not work out at the negotiating table. “I’m not ruling anything out,” he said when asked about it, saying the US needs the two regions for “economic security.” The two key words, for those who have studied the temperament and mentality of the president-elect.

Two words that equate to “gospel” for Donald Trump, in one sentence, for two regions which, along with Alaska and the Suez Canal, shape the global economy.

Donald Trump did not hesitate to threaten her Denmark with tariffs and military intervention and Panama with a canal name change and also military intervention. His goal? Clear, clear, transparent… He wants the two regions to “belong” to the US. To be controlled by the US and managed according to their interests.

Third new front is Canada. He threatened economic war with the big neighboring country – the US – at the same time that he essentially forced Justin Trudeau to resign. Before officially assuming the leadership of the White House, Donald Trump has turned the planet upside down, Europe being no exception.

What is the tsunami that awaits the Old Continent? 5% of GDP in the defense budget. Trump made it an issue before the Christmas holidays. Some felt he was bluffing. In his speech today, however, he said it again. And he said it clearly. 5% is his proposal to save NATO. In other words, if its members NATO if they do not increase their budgets from 2% of GDP to 5%, they will be faced with the possibility of even disbanding the Alliance.

With a war in Ukraine going on and one Russia which appears to have endurance and also threatens a global conflict, Europe risks being exposed to the appetites of powers that have developed their militaristic policies to another level. Trump himself said today that the war in Ukraine will escalate further, without explaining more about his intentions and the attitude he will take towards Moscow and the Vladimir Putin.

At the same time, in the Middle East, the war has become so complicated that a generalized military conflict in the region seems almost a given. Revisionist Turkey’s involvement and Trump’s stance on Syria, threats to seize Gaza if the hostages are not returned, and the fact that Israel is “opening a corridor” in Syria to attack Iran directly, not only do not lead to end of the war in the Middle East, instead they push things to extremes.

All of the above constitute extremely worrying messages in view of January 20 and what will follow. During Joe Biden’s 4-year term, two war fronts opened and the world entered dangerous paths. The incoming Trump talks about “economic security” and publicizes his revisionist vision for Panama, Greenland and Canada, which he considers should be the 51st state of the USA.

January 20 is the station day. From the 21st of this month, developments are expected to be rapid, as both Trump and Elon Musk reportedly have plans for a total change of the world, even with the imposition of violence, if this is deemed necessary to implement it their plan.
