The European Cultural Center of Delphi and the School of Drama of the Athens Conservatory are organizing a conference entitled “Intersections of Cultures: The Ancient Greek Tragedy in Japan”, on Saturday January 18, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., in the “‘Aris Garoufalis” Hall of the Athens Conservatory.

According to the organizers, the conference examines how the timeless power of ancient Greek tragedy has influenced modern Japanese theater, creating a dialogue that bridges two great cultural traditions. Through presentations, personal testimonies and rare archival material, participants will explore how tragedy transcends borders, delving into the cultural dialogue between East and West. The scientific editor is Giorgos Sambatakakis.
