Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic at a press conference on student mobilizations appeared.

“In these difficult political times, it has become clear who is ready to work and fight and who do not, and therefore I expect that more than 50% of ministers will be replaced in a very urgent government’s reconstruction,” the president said. He said that until tomorrow the government’s website would have been posted on the website of all documents relating to the renovation of the Railway Station in Novi Sad. Aleksandar Vucic said that the demand for a 20% increase in higher education budget was accepted, noting that this money would be used to increase teachers’ salaries and a 50% reduction in tuition fees paid by students who are not funded by the state. Referring to the request to stop the criminal prosecutions of 13 students and teachers arrested in the demonstrations, he promised that he would use the right to the Constitution and be granted to them. Vucic also said that the students’ request for the criminal prosecution of 37 people who attacked students during the demonstrations was also met.
The President of the Republic has hoped that students would positively assess the government’s intention to accept their demands and return to classrooms.
