The diplomatic crisis involved in Bratislava and Kiev does not stop deepening after Ukraine’s decision to end the Russian gas crossing intended for Slovakia and exchange of accusations in particular energy policy.

The Slovak Foreign Ministry announced yesterday that he called Ukrainian ambassador Miroslav Castra and handed him over “Intense protest of statements made by Ukrainian officials” recently.

Slovakia’s diplomacy saw in these statements “intervention in the internal affairs” of the country, according to a statement that came to the knowledge of the German agency.

Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski He recently raised the tones by accusing Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitso of prefers Russia instead of the US and his Western allies, so he does not buy gas from US companies.

For his part, Mr Fitso strongly criticized Mr Zelenski for his decision to end the Russian gas crossing to his country, a move that is causing a serious problem in the Slovak economy.

Yesterday the Ukrainian Foreign Minister came back to the matter. “Fitso, in the midst of a retreat of Slovak society’s confidence in him and demonstrations against his pro -Russian attitude, resorted to the search for enemies and found them … in Ukraine”he turned.

The Prime Minister of Slovakia and part of his country’s parliament leadership have ‘Poisoned by Russian propaganda’he added.

The announcement referred to Mr Fitso’s suspicion that circuits that have relationships with the opposition in his country and Kiev are preparing to “destabilize” Slovakia.

The Slovak prime minister complained, citing a report by the Intelligence Service, that plans are being drawn up to overthrow his democratically elected government.

Slovakia, EU and NATO Member State is among European countries with greater dependence on Russian gas.
