The United States “Hope” will start transferring immigrants to a detention center in the Gulf of Guantanamo, Cuba, within 30 days, Washington Post said on Friday, citing the border of the House of Representatives Tom Human.

The transfer was first announced by US President Donald Trump on Wednesday.

“Hopefully within 30 days we will start carrying people there”Homanman told the newspaper.

Homan said he was planning to travel to the US Naval Base in Guantanamo Bay in the coming weeks to oversee the rapid formation of the facility.

Although Trump said the installation would host up to 30,000 immigrants, Homan said they would probably start with a small number.

The US naval base in the Gulf of Guantanamo is already housing an installation of immigrants – separate from the US high security prison for foreign suspects for terrorism – used for decades for decades, including holding Haitians and Cubans arrested at sea.
