Indeed, as the Vatican announced on Monday, doctors modified the treatment of Pope Francis’s respiratory infection as the “complex clinical condition” had to be treated and will remain in the hospital as needed.
It is noted that 88 -year -old Pope Francis was introduced last Friday to the University of Polyclinic of Agostino Gemeli in Rome for respiratory infection.
The Pope was hospitalized for bronchitis at the same hospital in March 2023, spending three nights there.
In December of that year, he was forced to cancel his trip to the United Arab Emirates for the Cop28 climate summit due to another illness.
The Argentine Pontiff has been the leader of the Roman Catholic Church for the last 12 years.
He has suffered many health problems throughout his life, including the removal of part of one of his lungs at the age of 21.
