President Ursula von der Laien and the body of commissioners will go to Kiev on Monday to express Europe’s steadfast support in Ukraine’s struggle for independence and freedom, three years after Russia’s general military invasion.
In these three years, the European Union has been steadily on the side of Ukraine and made every effort to ensure that the country could secure a fair and lasting peace.
The European Union (EU) has supported Ukraine’s financial stability and has contributed to international efforts to account for Russia for its crimes.
It has worked closely with Ukraine for its accession process so that the country’s future is within the EU. The EU is the largest sponsor of financial aid to Ukraine to date, has trained the country’s soldiers, funded weapons delivery and has It imposes hard sanctions.
On Monday, President von der Laien will meet with Ukraine President Volodimir Zelenski.
They will co -chair at a joint meeting of the House of Commissioners and the Ukraine Government to prepare Ukraine’s future as free, sovereign and European nation. Earlier in the same day, the body of commissioners will honor the fallen soldiers and those who are still fighting on the fronts of the brutal aggressive war of Russia.
