Six newborns died last week in the Gaza Strip due to a cold wave that affects the Palestinian territory -damaged war, said Mahmoud Basal, head of the Gaza Strip Civil Protection.
“Due to a strong wave of cold and lack of heating, we recorded the deaths of six newborns last week until today (Tuesday),” Basal told the French Bureau.
Five of the newborns died in the northern strip of Gaza and the sixth in Han Younes, a city in the southern part of the enclave.
