Ukraine considers that there is a high risk of an attack in the Volyn region, in the western part of the country, via Belarus, said today the office of President Volodymyr Zelensky, citing the armed forces.
The Russian invasion has focused mainly on the northern, southern and eastern regions of Ukraine, while last week rockets also hit the Yavoriv military base near the Polish border.
It was not immediately clear whether Ukraine considers there a threat of attack on Volyn by Russian forces or the Belarusian armywhich so far has not formally deployed troops to support Russia.
Despite international reactions, Russia announced on Sunday – for the second day in a row – that it had used multi-sounding missiles to hit targets in Ukraine, this time to destroy a fuel depot of the Ukrainian armed forces in the southern part of the country.
