Russian President Putin has privately agreed to meet with Ukrainian President Zelensky “sometime” in the future, the BBC’s correspondent in Kyiv reported.

Speaking on Broadcasting House on Sunday, Lys Duchess said she had information that diplomatic talks were progressing.

“And we understand that President Putin has finally agreed to meet, at some point, with President Zelensky, who is requesting a meeting in January,” she said.

Commenting to the presenter that this is important new information, Lys Duchess said that President Putin has not spoken publicly about a meeting with President Zelensky, quite the opposite.

“But there are many willing mediators, all wanting his praise to say that they brought the war to an end. Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett is very active, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is very active. They have said in private that they understand that President Putin will meet with President Zelensky when the time is right. “But the time is not right now.”
