A small plane with five occupants crashed Sunday afternoon in a parking lot near Lancaster Airport in Pennsylvania.

According to the Guardian, the Federal Civil Aviation Authority (FAA) confirmed that the aircraft was a BeechCraft Bonanza with an engine and that the incident happened around 3pm in Lancaster. The five passengers of the plane survived the crash and were transferred to local hospitalsThe Manheim Township Fire Brigade, Scott Little, said at a press conference. There were no details on the health status of the pilot and passengers.

The Fire Department leader said the plane did not hit buildings during the crash, which occurred shortly after the take -off. At least twelve vehicles in the parking lot of the elderly Brethren Village community were damaged by the aircraft.

Video published on social networks show black smoke emerging from debris and several parked vehicles wrapped in flames at the scene of the crash, located about 75 miles west of Philadelphia.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances under which the accident occurred.
